Hey, Didn't Our Founding Fathers Leave Europe for Reason?

Oh Yeah, I remember! It was to escape the rule of a self-interested government in favor for representative government responsible to the will of the people. The colonists saw the British Government of that time hopelessly corrupt and hostile to the American Colonist's interests. Our Founding Fathers realized that greatest threat to liberty and freedom was corruption. As such , they banded together to get rid of illegitimate acts by the British Empire.
